· A feeding program for the homeless, finding them wherever they are located and providing fixed bag lunches. Many of those recipients looked forward to the distribution on Sabbaths and were delighted to see our van approach.
· Our Community Services Ministry, formerly the Dorcas Society, today has been transformed into an important community hub for weekly (Wednesdays) distribution of food and clothing for the needy. We currently serve over seven hundred (700) families a month.
· Once per month we join in partnership with other churches and civic minded organizations to provide the homeless and needy in downtown Camden with meals, clothing, prayer, and words of encouragement.
· Our Recovery Ministry is a support group for individuals overcoming substance abuse and other addictions.
· We have adopted neighboring HB Wilson School, occasionally supplying children with gifts during the holiday seasons and participating in events at and with the school.
· One of our members, Judge Ingrid French, has written and directed Mock Trials in which the students play the roles of various court personnel including judges and jury. These events are not merely entertaining, but they serve to educate students at an early age on the role of law in our society.
· The Fifty Plus Club actively supports the needs of seniors in our community. We visit nursing homes, provide seminars for caregivers, particularly caregivers of those with dementia issues.
· Our church has served as a warming center during Code Blue events in the city.
· We remain available to host and facilitate meetings or seminars by other organizations planning outreach events to assist our community.
